Scanning

scanningWe treat your family photos like the treasures they are: with white cotton gloves, an immaculate environment, and archival quality storage. Unlike large scanning labs, we never use automatic feeders that can damage fragile paper. Each photo is scanned carefully by hand in multiple resolutions, front and back. Originals are stored in archival quality boxes to slow fading and crumbling.

Photos are scanned several times: front and back (if there’s any writing or identifying information), with close-ups of small subjects or interesting details.

Correspondence and newspaper articles are scanned in black and white so they’re easy to read. Birth certificates, maps, and other colorful documents are scanned in full color.

We can also scan or photograph memorabilia such as needlework, jewelry, china – you name it! it’s a great way to share and record information such as Bible records and china patterns. It’s also useful as an insurance record.
